AP Cybersecurity

Course scope

AP Cybersecurity develops the skills to protect digital systems, assess vulnerabilities and analyse evidence of possible attacks. The course guides students to think like a security analyst in realistic scenarios.

Exam and assessment structure

The exam on 5 May 2027 lasts 2 hours 10 minutes and is fully digital. The 60 multiple-choice questions are worth 70% and a single comprehensive 50-minute free-response question 30%. The free-response section examines sources such as security policies, configurations, access permissions and system logs together. Assessment requires the student to identify security problems and explain recommendations with concrete digital evidence.

Preparation at Youprep Studio

In this course we start preparation by assessing the student’s prior knowledge and needs. We carry out topic work together with the relevant question and assessment types, and develop the student’s ability to apply knowledge and justify answers. We track progress with practice suited to the course structure and regular review, and update the study plan for the target exam session.
