AP Psychology

Course scope

AP Psychology aims to understand human behaviour and mental processes through scientific research. Students learn to apply psychological concepts, evaluate research methods and draw evidence-based conclusions from data.

Exam and assessment structure

The fully digital exam on 14 May 2027 lasts 2 hours 40 minutes. The 75 multiple-choice questions are worth about 67% and the two free-response questions about 33%. The free-response section includes an Article Analysis Question on analysing a research article and an Evidence-Based Question asking students to develop a reasoned position from sources. This structure assesses conceptual knowledge together with research literacy.

Preparation at Youprep Studio

In this course we start preparation by assessing the student’s prior knowledge and needs. We carry out topic work together with the relevant question and assessment types, and develop the student’s ability to apply knowledge and justify answers. We track progress with practice suited to the course structure and regular review, and update the study plan for the target exam session.
