Course scope

AP Seminar develops the skills to examine different perspectives, evaluate the credibility of sources, and present an evidence-based position in writing and orally.

Exam and assessment structure

Assessment has three parts: the team project and presentation is worth 20%, the individual research essay and presentation 35%, and the end-of-course exam 45%. The 2-hour digital exam on 10 May 2027 includes three short-answer questions and an essay based on source synthesis. The deadline for digital submission of the performance tasks is 30 April 2027 at 11:59 p.m. ET. The course’s research and presentation components during the year require regular work beyond exam preparation.

Preparation at Youprep Studio

In this course we start preparation by assessing the student’s prior knowledge and needs. We carry out topic work together with the relevant question and assessment types, and develop the student’s ability to apply knowledge and justify answers. We track progress with practice suited to the course structure and regular review, and update the study plan for the target exam session.
