AP Spanish Literature and Culture is an advanced course that examines literary works in Spanish across different periods, genres and cultural contexts. Students compare texts, interpret literary devices and express their ideas in academic writing in Spanish.
Exam and assessment structure
The digital exam on 14 May 2027 lasts 3 hours. The first section has 15 listening and 50 reading analysis questions; the second has 4 free-response questions: two short answers and two essays. The multiple-choice and free-response sections are weighted equally. Assessment measures the ability to interpret previously unstudied texts as well as the works on the required reading list.
