Course scope

AP Statistics is built around collecting and interpreting data, probability, statistical inference and regression analysis. Students learn to evaluate study designs, interpret confidence intervals and significance tests, and justify their conclusions in context.

Exam and assessment structure

The exam, with a structure revised for 2026–2027, takes place on 11 May 2027 and lasts 3 hours. It contains 42 multiple-choice and 4 free-response questions, each section making up 50% of the total score. The exam is fully digital in Bluebook, and a graphing calculator with statistical capabilities is expected. Success depends as much on clear and correct interpretation as on accurate calculation.
