AP Preparation

We plan a preparation process that strengthens your command of the material in the AP courses you choose and follows each course’s assessment format. We review your courses, current level and exam calendar together to prioritise your work.

What is AP

Advanced Placement (AP) is a College Board program that lets high school students work with university-level course content and show what they know through exams or the other assessments a course requires. Students can choose different AP courses based on their interests and academic goals. Some courses include a project, performance task or portfolio in addition to the exam. University credit and placement policies for AP results vary by institution.

AP preparation at Youprep Studio

We first assess the core knowledge the chosen course requires and the student’s current standing. We plan topic work around progress at school and the time left before the exam. We reinforce each topic with the relevant question types and focus on how to present a solution, interpretation or justification in free-response answers. We use results from review and practice tests to return to the areas the student finds difficult.

Work shaped by the course

In math and science courses we focus on problem solving, interpreting graphs and data, and explaining solutions. In history, social science and literature courses we develop source analysis and evidence-based writing. In language, art and project-based courses we build the study plan around the relevant assessment components. This way, preparation is shaped by the skills each course demands.

Pilot program information: AP Networking

AP Networking is an AP Career Kickstart course focusing on how computer networks work, how they are set up and secured, and how their problems are analysed. In 2026–2027 it is offered only in schools taking part in the pilot program; their exam is on 7 May 2027. The pilot exam is digital and consists only of multiple-choice questions. The course is planned to become generally available in the 2027–2028 school year. Eligibility for the 2027 pilot should be confirmed with the relevant school; university credit policies may also be limited and vary by institution. The course develops network configuration and troubleshooting skills through realistic scenarios.
